Operation Principle:
Oxidation organism by UV lamp and convert organic stuff into carbon dioxide, which detection adopted by direct conductivity method. The total organic carbon is the difference of the total carbon (TC)concentration in samples tested after oxidation and not oxidation of the sample total inorganic carbon(TIC),namely: TOC = TC- (TIC).
Total Organic Carbon Analyzer Feature:
- There is no need for nitrogen, oxygen, acid reagents, or oxidants, making the operation straightforward and cost-effective.
- The system is highly intelligent, featuring an automatic sampler and the capability to perform system adaptability validation autonomously.
- It includes a limit alarm design, which triggers an automatic alert if the test sample exceeds the specified limits.

Application of TOC Analyzer:
The TOC-A10 is a high-precision offline total organic carbon analysis instrument. It utilizes electrical conductivity difference detection technology and operates on the principle of ultraviolet catalytic oxidation, ensuring high accuracy and a short response time. The instrument fully complies with national pharmacopoeia standards and is suitable for offline testing of deionized water, including pharmaceutical water (injection water and purified water) and ultrapure water.

FAQ:
1. What is the margin of error for TOC Analyzer? What are the reasons for the error?
Our total organic carbon analyzer is almost error-free. The quality of the sample is the root cause of the error, for example, if there are small particles or residues in the sample, there will be an error in the result.
2. Difference between the direct method and the differential subtraction method for TOC Analyzer?
The carbon in all inorganic carbonates in water is called total inorganic carbon (IC), and the carbon in all organic matter is called total organic carbon (TOC), and the total amount is called total carbon (TC).
Differential subtraction method (TC-IC method): the specimen is introduced into the UV-irradiated persulfate reactor and phosphate IC reactor, respectively, so that the organic compounds and inorganic carbonates are decomposed and converted into CO2. CO2 is blown out by high-purity nitrogen gas and then enters into a non-dispersive infrared detector (NDIR) sequentially after being dehumidified by a desiccant tube. Using the proportionality of carbon content between CO2 and TOC for the quantitative determination of TC and IC respectively, the difference between TC and IC is TOC, i.e. TC-IC=TOC.
Direct method (NPOC): TOC can be measured directly by acidification and aeration of the specimen to remove IC, and then injected into the UV persulfate reactor. When volatile organic compounds are present in the specimen, they may be removed during the aeration process. Therefore, the TOC measured in this way can be called NPOC, i.e. non-volatile organic carbon. And generally contain less volatile organic compounds in the water sample, the impact on the determination of NPOC is negligible, that is, NPOC = TOC.
3. Can the sample contain a catalyst?
No, the catalyst contains carbon, which will affect the test results.
4. What information is required?
Sample source, concentration.
TC-IC mode: Difference subtraction method, suitable for samples with inorganic carbon less than 30% of total carbon;
